
Dr. Nim Subhedar
Consultant Neonatologist

Dr. Subhedar is a Consultant Neonatologist working at Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Honorary Lecturer at the University of Liverpool and Clinical Lead for the Cheshire & Merseyside Neonatal Network. His research interests include neonatal pulmonary hypertension, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, neonatal haemodynamics and echocardiography. He is a co-applicant on the UK multicentre NIHR-HTA funded Baby OSCAR trial into early selective treatment of patent ductus arteriosus. He led the first randomised controlled trial of inhaled nitric oxide in preterm neonates and previously chaired the European Inhaled Nitric Oxide Registry.

Paediatric Cardiology

Cara is a paediatric cardiology trainee based in London, UK. Cara is enthusiastic in advancing the understanding and care of all children with pulmonary hypertension (PH) and has previously worked as a clinical fellow for 2 years at the National Paediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Service based at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, UK. She is currently taking time away from training to work as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Liverpool and Women’s NHS Trust as part of the RePHyNe team. Her role will involve a systematic literature review of core outcome measures and assessment measures and biomarkers in neonatal PH. Cara’s will work with stakeholders that include medical, nursing and allied health professional clinicians, researchers, and parents to develop a consensus methodology via a Delphi process to reach a consensus on the definition of neonatal PH, biomarkers for assessing PH and core outcome measures.

ST6 Paediatric Trainee

Natasha is an ST6 Paediatric Trainee with a keen interest in neonates. She is currently in post as a Clinical Research Fellow at Liverpool Women's Hospital. She is involved in retrospective research projects comparing inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) dosing regimens, with a secondary aim of creating a new index of quantifying iNO exposure. Her role as part of the RePHyNe team will involve developing a core dataset and supporting a systematic review of core outcome data.

Senior Research Manager

Gary is Senior Research Manager at the University of Liverpool.
Based at the Harris-Wellbeing of Women Research Centre, Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust, he has 15 years of research management experience across a multitude of research areas including paediatric cancer, paediatric orthopaedics, clinical devices and high-risk pregnancy.
With a background in computer information systems, his role within the RePHyNe team will be to create and develop the electronic data capture forms within the REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) online application.

Dr. Katrina Reilly
Clinical Trial Coordinator

Katrina will be providing project management and ongoing administrative support to the RePHyNe Registry. With over 20 years’ experience working in the healthcare setting Katrina began her research career at the Manchester Cancer Research Centre, later specialising in thoracic oncology research through her senior research practitioner role at Manchester Foundation Trust, before joining the team at Liverpool women’s NHS Foundation Trust in 2021.
Katrina has a wide range of experience successfully managing vast portfolios of exploratory, observational, and interventional clinical research trials. In her current position as clinical trial coordinator at Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust she is responsible for managing all trust sponsored activity and monitoring associated research activity at all collaborating institutes.
Her portfolio extends across a diverse range of specialities including; Neonatal, gynaecology, obstetrics, fertility and genetics. She supports investigators with developing research proposals and obtaining all applicable regulatory approvals.

Julie will be providing project management and ongoing administrative support to the Registry. Julie worked as a computer information systems developer in the private sector before moving into the NHS, working in clinical governance and research, including 7 years as a clinical trial co-ordinator at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
